Alexei Pergande had Nashville singing on Friday night. Oh my. Good lord. Somebody pour his opponents a double shot of whiskey because Alexei Pergande is a force. He came into the fight as a -2000 favorite on BetMGM. Alexei is a dominant newcomer and is the perfect combo of skilled and humble. Pergande put up a performance that we watched him absolutely dogged Daniel Boehle who is a real competitor at 145 yet he made him look like a regional middle of the pack fighter.

During the fight which can be seen to the right on desktop or below on mobile, Dylan Sage Knostman @dsk_combatsports, shared the image if you tried to live bet $1on Pergande and it would result in absolutely zero return. Essentially, you would have been just trying to see how close you can put $1 over a fire and hoping it doesn’t light.

The only issue for Alexei will be if he can continue to make weight at 145lbs. However, this could also be beneficial for him as he continues to grow into his body and gains muscle mass. Either at featherweight or at lightweight, there is no reason to think that he wont be able to compete at the highest level for many years and become the face of the promotion (at least on the men’s side).
